I grew up in Taiwan. I graduated from Wheaton College near Chicago with majors in philosophy and history. I currently live between the U.S. and Taiwan and am a frontend engineer at Yahoo! in Santa Monica, California.

About the Site

This site is named and designed with the southeast coast of Taiwan in mind. It was developed with a general focus on web standards, internationalization, and localization. The site is built around the following technologies:

Exabytes Windows Web Hosting
A hosting package that runs on the Microsoft IIS web server and supports several server-side languages including PHP, ASP, and ASP.NET.

WordPress
A state-of-the-art semantic personal publishing platform with a focus on aesthetics, web standards, and usability. The WordPress system provides the site with its PHP core.

Yahoo! User Interface Library
The YUI Library provides the CSS reset and font stylesheets and JavaScript utilities used on the site. The site was developed for optimal performance in A-grade browsers according to the YUI Graded Browser Support chart.

SimpleViewer
A free, lightweight, customizable Flash image viewing application. Simpleviewer makes it easy to create dynamic photo albums because each album is driven by a single XML file.
